FAQ
What is digital art?
Digital art is where an image is drawn directly onto a computer program using a Ipencil and an iPad. It does not use any mediums such as watercolour or oil paints but can create the same effect if required. It means that a painting can be created in a shorter space of time and can be sent to anyone via email without needing to transport an entire canvas to his final destination.
How long will it take to receive my order?
For a custom portrait, you will receive a basic sketch within 2 to 3 days. Then the final artwork will be emailed to you during the next 3 to 5 days. (Approximately 5 to 8 days in total)
If a physical print has been requested, then this will need to be received from the printers and takes an additional 5 days (10 to 12 days in total)
If a framed print has been requested, then this can take an additional 7 to 10 days (approximately 14 to 21 days)
Pre-drawn prints can be emailed to the buyer immediately as they are already stored in the database. Again if physical print or framing is required this will take an additional 5 to 10 days to receive your framed print.
What can I do if I need my order in hurry?
The quickest way to receive an order is the digital print via email. This way you can take the digital print (stored on your files in your phone or on a USB stick) directly to a printer of your choice. Boots stores to photo prints for 6 x 4“ and 7 x 5“, or you can use an online printer such as Vistaprint or Snapfish. Lucy will use a similar process to get your digital image printed and framed.
Please make your artist aware of any time restraints and this will be taken into account. Lucy will do the very best she can to get your art to you on time. However, if this is unachievable then a refund will be issued.
Do you deliver internationally?
The easiest way to receive an international portrait is choosing the digital art option posted to your email. This can therefore be printed and framed anywhere else in the world. For the time being, it is only UK mainland delivery that is offered for physical prints and framing
